EDISON MUSEUM EXTENSION
The Edison Museum is a collection of Thomas Edison memorabilia located in Beaumont, TX. The museum is housed in a decommissioned substation and occupies the first floor. In 2020, the Museum received a grant to expand to the second floor. The expanded collection would display early electric appliances and tell a story about the transfer of labor from the human to the machine. Additionally, the museum currently had no space for programming or events, so the artifact layout was arranged as to keep the center clear. This extension was commissioned by the museum's curator at the time. Initial design services were provided. Upon approval of the design, consultation services were provided throughout completion.
